The Model 2 AIWB holster is exclusively designed for appendix carry. If you're someone who prefers this method of carrying your defensive weapon, then this holster is tailored specifically for you! Our main objective when creating the Model 2 AIWB holster was to develop the most comfortable and concealable appendix-style holster on the market. With a dedicated and uncompromising approach to this singular goal, we believe our design has successfully delivered. The Model 2 AIWB stands out as the most comfortable, concealable, and adjustable holster of its kind, boasting a straightforward design, premium materials, and impeccable execution.
The Model 2 AIWB differentiates itself from the Model 1 IWB by incorporating a body contour, commonly known as a wedge, on the rear side of the holster (the side that rests against the body). This feature enhances concealment when worn in the appendix location by preventing the upper section of the holster from shifting away from the body, ensuring a secure and snug fit against the wearer's body. While this design aspect makes it an excellent choice for appendix carry, it restricts the holster's adaptability for other carry positions. As a result, the Model 2 AIWB is dedicated solely to appendix carry.
MODEL 2 AIWB FEATURES:
Important Note on Appendix Carry:
While appendix carry is an excellent and highly effective carry position, it is not the right fit for everyone. Not all body types or personal preferences lend themselves to comfortable appendix carry.
If you are looking for a holsters without body contouring—ones that can easily adapt to a wider range of carry positions and body types—we encourage you to explore our Model 1 IWB Non Light Bearing and Model 3 IWB Light Bearing holsters.
Note on Subcompact / Micro handguns:
Some micro and compact pistols (M&P Shield, Springfield Hellcat Pro, etc.) benefit from extended muzzle length for improved concealment. This extra length enables better adjustability in ride height and helps mitigate the "spill-over" effect, where the upper part of the gun (above the belt line) tends to protrude over the waistline, resulting in printing.
Due to the shorter dimensions of subcompact and micro firearms, the available ride height adjustment is reduced when using DCC HLR clips. For these models, the DCC Monoblock clip is recommended, especially for users with large or extra-large hands.
